The reason your exam results don’t matter as much as you think….
Let me share a personal story. When I recently got my results from my +2 final exams, I discovered something that was ‘out of syllabus’. I worked hard for it and achieved my goal.
Mind you, I scored exceptionally well in the finals. But after I got the results, the excitement lasted only seconds before an unexpected emptiness kicked in.
It felt like all the hard work was for nothing. I used to think marks were everything, that they defined my value.
That’s when I realized that nobody will remember last year’s final exam toppers in the next 50 years unless they search them up on Google, but they will remember someone who made a significant impact in this generation.
My question is, why do we chase perfect scores when we know that they will be forgotten quickly?
I’m not saying that you shouldn’t study. Studying is important for developing your discipline in your upcoming career or business.
But making it a part of your whole life and studying every single day with restless nights will drive you crazy. As you may have heard before, too much is too bad.
